Step 3 โ Notices Filed the Same Day
With the target list approved, we draft and file a compliant notice for every URL through the correct channel for each platform โ the same day. You receive confirmation of what was filed, where, and the reference numbers to track it.
- Same-day filing on approval
- Platform-specific notices
- Parallel filing across channels
- Reference numbers for every notice
What Happens in This Step
Filing is where preparation pays off. Each notice is written for its platform, carries the legal elements required by 17 U.S.C. ยง 512(c)(3) or the relevant trademark or impersonation policy, and goes out through the channel that platform's rights team actually monitors.
Notice Drafting
A specialist drafts each notice from our platform-specific playbooks, identifying your original work, each infringing URL and your rights basis, with the good-faith and penalty-of-perjury statements.
Second Review
A reviewer checks every notice for accuracy, completeness and legal risk before it is sent. Nothing goes out unreviewed.
Correct Channel
Meta's copyright and trademark forms, Google's copyright removal form, YouTube's copyright complaint webform, Amazon Report Infringement or Brand Registry, eBay VeRO, TikTok's copyright report form, Shopify's DMCA form, Telegram's DMCA email, and host or registrar abuse channels for independent sites.
Parallel Filing
Notices to the platform, the hosting provider and search engines go out together, so removal is not held up by any single slow responder.
Reference Logging
Every submission's case ID, ticket number or email receipt is logged against its URL in your case file.
Filing Confirmation
You receive a summary of everything filed, with URLs, channels and references, the same day.
What We Need From You
Approval of the Target List
Your confirmation from Step 2 that the verified URLs should be filed, with anything licensed removed.
Signed Authorization
A short authorization naming DMCA Master as your agent for filing notices, which we provide for e-signature. Most platforms require this to accept agent-filed notices.
Platform-Specific Documents (if required)
Some channels ask for extra items โ a trademark registration certificate for Amazon or TikTok Shop, an identity document for Meta impersonation claims, or Brand Registry or VeRO account access if you prefer notices filed under your own program account.
Availability for Quick Questions
Occasionally a platform asks something only you can answer, such as whether a reseller is authorized. A quick reply keeps the case moving.
Why Filing Goes Wrong Without Specialists
Most failed takedowns fail at the filing stage: the wrong form, a missing statement, a domain instead of URLs, or a notice sent to a general support inbox that never reaches the rights team. The platform closes the case and the content stays up.
Our filing step is built to eliminate those failures. Every notice is complete, platform-specific, reviewed and logged, and every platform's response is tracked from the moment of submission.
- Using the in-app "Report" button, which routes to community-guidelines review instead of the rights team
- Sending one generic notice to every platform regardless of its form and evidence requirements
- Omitting the good-faith statement or the declaration under penalty of perjury
- Filing only with the platform and not with the host or search engines as a fallback
- Not recording reference numbers, making follow-up and escalation impossible
- Filing against licensed, fair-use or unverified material, which invites rejection or liability
Timeline for Step 3
Same Day
Notices are drafted, reviewed and filed the day you approve the target list and sign the authorization. Large batches are filed in order of priority over one to two days.
Same Day
You receive the filing confirmation with every URL, channel and reference number.
24โ72 Hours
Typical platform response and removal window, which is monitored in Step 4.
Deliverable
A filing report listing each infringing URL, the notice type, the channel used, the date and time filed, the reference number and the expected response window.
Action Filed FAQ
Do you file in my name or yours?+
As your authorized agent, DMCA Master appears as the complaining party on the notice. Your name is used only where a platform specifically requires the rights holder's identity, and we tell you beforehand.
What if the platform does not have a form?+
Many independent sites do not. We identify the hosting provider, registrar and payment processor from DNS and WHOIS data and file through their abuse channels, and we file with Google and Bing to de-index the pages in parallel.
Can I see the notices before they are filed?+
Yes, on request. We share drafts whenever you ask, especially for sensitive or high-value cases.
What happens if a platform rejects a notice?+
We review the reason, strengthen the notice and re-file, usually within hours. Rejections and re-filings appear in your case log.
Is filing included in the per-URL price?+
Yes. Drafting, review, filing, re-filing and follow-up are all included. You pay $100 per URL only once it is successfully removed.
