Step 2 โ Scan & Identify Every Copy
Most clients find a fraction of the infringement on their own. In this step we search platforms, search engines, marketplaces, file hosts and messaging channels to find every instance, verify each one and build the evidence file your notices will rest on.
- Full multi-platform scan
- Every URL verified live
- Evidence captured & timestamped
- Ownership documented
What Happens in This Step
Once you approve the plan from Step 1, your specialist moves from the links you provided to the full picture. The goal is a complete, verified list of infringing URLs and a clean evidence package for each.
Multi-Platform Search
We search social platforms, Google and Bing web and image results, marketplaces, file hosts, forums, Telegram and Discord using your content, brand names, product names and known infringer handles.
Reverse Image & Video Matching
Your images and video frames are checked against reverse image search and platform search to catch copies with cropped watermarks or altered colors.
Infrastructure Mapping
For copycat websites we identify the hosting provider, domain registrar, CDN, payment processor and ad accounts so notices can go to each.
Live Verification
Every URL is checked to confirm the content is still online and matches your original. Dead links and false positives are removed from the list.
Evidence Capture
Each infringing URL is archived with a full-page screenshot, timestamp and, where relevant, view counts, prices or follower numbers.
Ownership File
Your original work, publication dates, registrations and authorization are organized into a single ownership record attached to every notice.
What We Need From You
Original Files or Links
High-resolution originals, or links to where the content was first published, so matching and comparison are precise.
Brand & Product Terms
Your brand names, product names, course titles, usernames and any misspellings infringers tend to use.
Known Infringers (optional)
Accounts, stores or sites you have already spotted, including any you reported yourself.
Approval of the Target List
Before filing, we send you the verified URL list. You confirm it, remove anything you have licensed, and we proceed.
Why Incomplete Scans Fail
Filing against the three links you found while thirty more stay live means the content keeps spreading and the infringer simply points traffic to the copies you missed. It also means paying for repeat rounds of work.
A thorough scan up front produces one coordinated filing round, cleaner evidence and far fewer re-uploads to chase later.
- Relying on a single Google search instead of platform-native search, image matching and marketplace tools
- Missing reposts on secondary accounts, mirror sites and linked file hosts
- Not confirming each URL is still live, leading to rejected notices
- Capturing screenshots without timestamps or full URLs, which weakens the evidence
- Failing to identify the host and registrar of copycat sites, leaving no fallback if the site ignores notices
- Including licensed or fair-use material in the target list, which risks a wrongful notice
Timeline for Step 2
Within 24โ48 Hours
Standard scans are completed and the verified URL list is sent to you. Large-scale piracy and leak cases may take longer and are delivered in batches so filing can start immediately.
Continuous for Monitoring Clients
For ongoing protection clients, scanning runs continuously and new URLs feed directly into filing without a separate approval round unless you request one.
Deliverable
A verified target list with platform, URL, content type, evidence reference and the channel we will file through for each item, plus the organized ownership file.
Scan & Identify FAQ
How do you find content I have not seen?+
Platform-native search, reverse image and video matching, keyword and handle searches across marketplaces and search engines, and manual review of known leak and piracy communities relevant to your content type.
Can you scan for leaked content without me sharing the files?+
Yes. We can scan using your name, handles and publicly available previews. You never need to send us the leaked material itself.
What if you find hundreds of URLs?+
We prioritize by reach and damage, file in coordinated batches and keep you informed. Pricing stays at $100 per successfully removed URL, and for large volumes ongoing protection at $10 per hour is usually more cost-effective.
Will you include every match in the target list?+
Only verified infringements. Licensed uses, your own accounts, legitimate reviews and anything with a credible fair-use argument are flagged separately for your decision rather than filed automatically.
Do I need to approve the list before filing?+
For single cases, yes, to make sure nothing licensed is included. Monitoring clients can set standing instructions so new findings are filed without delay.
